01 / The business reason

Why this can make a difference.

A website can look perfectly normal while its enquiry form has stopped delivering messages. Maintenance gives those less visible details an owner. I help keep information current, check the agreed customer routes and prepare a way back when something goes wrong.

01

Protect existing opportunities

Testing contact and booking paths can reveal faults that a quick glance at the homepage misses.

02

Keep information dependable

Current prices, hours, photos and phone numbers help customers make decisions with fewer surprises.

03

Be better prepared for recovery

Controlled changes and recoverable copies provide options when an update or integration fails.

02 / In practice

Illustrative example · A small hotel

The page opens. Does the enquiry arrive?

The current difficulty

The rooms page is online, but booking requests are no longer reaching the owner's inbox. The fault is only noticed when someone calls to follow up.

With the right setup

An agreed functional check sends a test request through the full route. A failure has a known alert contact, recovery steps and a record of what was fixed.

Maintenance reduces the time a fault can go unnoticed. Its scope and response arrangements should match the importance of that customer route.

03 / The work involved

What we can put in place.

The final scope is tailored to your setup. These are the pieces we discuss and agree before work starts.

Critical-route checks
An agreed schedule for checking the site and important forms, links or booking connections.
Backups and recovery
Suitable backup arrangements, retention and restoration checks for your setup.
Updates with a way back
Appropriate software changes and checks, with a rollback approach where supported.
Small content changes
A defined allowance for updates such as hours, prices and images, plus a short record of work.

04 / Working together

A clear way forward.

  1. 01

    Review the existing setup

We document access, dependencies and the customer routes that matter most.

  2. 02

    Set a practical care plan

We agree checks, backups, request handling and who receives alerts.

  3. 03

    Check, record and improve

Routine work and incidents are recorded, with recurring problems flagged for a better fix.

How we judge the value

Look for useful change.

We agree what matters at the start, then review evidence from your business.

  • Do test enquiries arrive and booking routes remain usable?
  • How quickly are faults detected and recovered within the agreed cover?
  • Are backups restorable and important content corrections completed?

Before you decide

A few fair questions.

Is maintenance the same as hosting?

Hosting supplies the environment that keeps a site online. Maintenance checks the site itself, its content and agreed functions. A page can be hosted successfully while a form is broken.

Can you maintain a site someone else built?

Often, yes. I first review the platform, access and condition so we can agree what is practical and identify any initial repair work.

Does the plan include emergency support at any time?

Cover hours, urgency levels and escalation arrangements are agreed explicitly. A routine maintenance plan should not be assumed to include round-the-clock emergency response.
